Access The Educator and Certification Hub (TEACH) by clicking on the icon to the right. If you do not have a TEACH account, click the icon and follow the instructions on how to request an account.

For all inquiries related to educator certification not covered in the FAQs, please email us at nde.tcertweb@nebraska.gov. Please allow two business days for a response. Sending multiple emails will not expedite the response.

Special Application Types

Application Process

Be advised, the application process differs depending on the type of certificate you are applying for. For a more detailed application process, click on your specific certificate or permit type above.

The general application process is as follows:

1. Apply through our TEACH portal.
2. Submit Official Transcripts if applicable.
3. Pay application fee.
4. Submit a set of fingerprints if you have not been a resident of Nebraska for the past 5 years and/or have not previously held a NE teaching certificate/permit.
5. Additional forms may be required depending on your certification type. Please see Supporting Forms on our website if additional forms are requested.

In order to finish and submit an application, you are not required to have all additional forms and documents in to NDE at the time of application.

Please Note: As of May 16, 2023, the Praxis Core (basic skills) tests are no longer required for certification. We are in the process of updating the website and working through applications to remove any reference requiring the Praxis Core (basic skills) tests. Praxis Content tests are still required.
